Robin has been practicing maritime and transportation law since 2006. Prior to joining Barnable Law in 2026, Robin spent over twenty years with a national firm (as associate and then partner) where he was the leader of its national Transportation Focus Group and its Maritime Focus Group, focused on Eastern Canada and the Great Lakes.
His extensive experience includes representing:
- Ship owners and P&I Clubs in matters involving domestic and international shipping
- Airlines and aviation insurers in claims related to casualties, property damage, and passenger rights
- Transportation and logistics companies in matters related to cargo damage and recovery
- OEMs in the defence of class actions and product liability claims
Robin is an advocate with experience in complex casualty matters and class actions involving multiple parties and inter-jurisdictional and cross-border insurance issues. In addition to his court experience, he advises clients on liability and risk management issues, including service agreements, contracts, liability releases, indemnity agreements and governance issues.

Robin attended law school at Queens University after receiving an Honours in Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation, from Lakehead University. He also holds an Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution certificate from the University of Windsor and the Stitt Feld Handy Group.
